Welcome to Mexico and the US… Compared.

Octavio Paz, Mexico’s greatest writer, has said that to understand Mexico you must know its history.

An intriguing way to learn about Mexico’s history is to compare it to that of the Unites States and to analyze the interactions between the two “Distant Neighbors”, as Alan Riding characterized them in his book of the same name.

Our overall objective is to help expats living in Mexico to understand better their new home country, but this will also be helpful to visitors who have a serious interest in learning about this extraordinary destination.

Our plan is to provide you with the information you need to understand Mexico’s history and culture via this website and via regular newsletters delivered in print or via the internet.
